The Archives Speak: A Lens on Jersey’s Latino History

 

The Rutgers Latino Studies Research Initiative is sharing news of an upcoming public panel hosted by the New Jersey Hispanic Research and Information Center at the Newark Public Library.

The Archives Speak: A Lens on Jersey’s Latino History brings together scholars, archivists, and community researchers to discuss how Latino histories in New Jersey are preserved, interpreted, and shared. The panel focuses on the role of archives in documenting Latino communities across the state and considers questions of access, public memory, and future research.

The panel will be moderated by Jason Cortes, Ph.D., and features Aldo A. Lauria-Santiago, Ph.D., Carmen Molina-Tamacas, Yamil Avivi, Ph.D., and Ana Ramos-Zayas, Ph.D.
