River Gallo (they/them) is a Salvadoran-American filmmaker, actor, writer, model, and intersex activist originally from New Jersey. A GLAAD Award winner, River holds a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. They are best known for their short film Ponyboi, which premiered at Tribeca and has since been developed into a feature film selected for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. River’s work spans film, theater, fashion, and commercial directing, and they have been recognized by GLAAD, OUT 100, and Indiewire for their contributions to arts and advocacy.
