Juber Ayala graduated from Science Park High School in 2009 and enrolled at Rutgers-Newark before transferring to Rutgers–New Brunswick. He completed a double major in History and a minor in Political Science in 2013. He interned at the NJ Hispanic Research and Information Center and worked at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies from 2014–2017, developing expertise in archival work under mentors Yesenia López and Pedro Juan Hernández.
