Call for Contributions: Latina/o Studies Research Blogs and Essays
Dear Colleagues,
Our Rutgers University Press book on Latinas/os in New Jersey has been out for a few months, and we are pleased to announce that the companion website for the Rutgers Latino Studies Research Initiative (LSRI) is now live.
With support from the New Jersey Historical Commission and other partners, the site is designed as an ongoing ethnographic and historical repository that highlights the diversity of Latino and Latin American immigrant communities in New Jersey and the tri-state area.
The website features information about the book and expands its scope through blogs, articles, teaching guides, maps, and other materials contributed by chapter authors, researchers, students, and community leaders.
We invite submissions of research-based blogs (1,000–3,000 words) that include photos, sound clips, maps, charts, or video materials to help document and analyze New Jersey’s diverse Latina/o communities. Submissions should balance scholarly research with accessible writing for a wider public audience.
